About Aesop

Aesop's Fables is written by Aesop,who was born in the 6th century BC. According to legend, Aesop is a black slave in Ethiopia. He is very good at telling animal stories. "Aesop" is the homonym of "Ethiopia".

The existing Aesop's Fables is a story collection handed down from ancient Greece and ancient Rome and were compiled by Aesop's descendants,all of them were put under Aesop's name. The book contains more than 300 fables, most of which are animal-related, and it is the first of fable stories collection in the world. Aesop's Fables reflects the truth which is not easy to notice in our daily life with short stories, and they are concise, approachable and philosophical.

This time, the story The frog and the mouse will be presented by the students from Class 1,Grade 4 of Liwan Primary School.

This book is about a mouse and a frog. The frog foolishly ties the mouse's leg to his own. At first, they walked on the ground and everything was normal.They could even eat corn.

And when they came to the pond, the frog took the mouse into the water, and he himself played in the water, quacking with joy. The poor mouse drowned in water and died. Soon, the dead mouse floated out of the water, but his leg were still tied to the frog.

At the very moment a hawk flew over there and saw the dead mouse. It rushed into the water and caught the mouse,and the frog was brought out of the water as well, both of which at last became the hawk’s dish.

MORAL

If you harm others,you will also be harmed.
